A Night of Insightful Short Talks at Our March Meeting!

Our March 2025 lodge meeting offered a diverse range of thought-provoking short talks, with a fantastic contribution from some of our newer members!

Paul Beachell kicked things off with “Freemasonry and Sailing – Values, Traditions & Aspirations.” Paul beautifully illustrated the surprising parallels between these two seemingly different worlds, highlighting their shared principles and common values.

Next, the Rev. Robert Stephen presented “In Whom do you put your Trust?” Bob led us on an insightful exploration of the profound meaning of this familiar phrase within a Masonic context.

James Crawford then delved into the symbolism of “The Past Master’s Jewel,” drawing our attention to the significant 3, 4, 5 and 3, 5, 7 triangles within Masonry.

Finally, our Master took the floor with a fascinating talk on “Freemasonry and the Connection with Rock Music Royalty in Leicester.” He traced the Masonic background of the family of John Deacon, the bassist of the legendary band Queen, and highlighted the support provided to his mother by the Granstone Lodge and connected charitable organisations.

It was an engaging evening that showcased the diverse interests and insights within our lodge!
