The Correspondence Circle of the Lodge of Research No. 2429 brings together Freemasons with an interest in Masonic history, symbolism, biography, ritual development and scholarship.

Founded in 1892, the Lodge of Research has published its Transactions continuously for more than 130 years and continues to encourage original research and discussion among Freemasons in the United Kingdom and overseas.

The Correspondence Circle allows Brethren throughout the world to support and participate in that tradition of Masonic research and scholarship.

Membership Benefits

Please note: Correspondence Circle members are not entitled to vote, hold office, or participate in the government or management of the Lodge. Whilst members will ordinarily be welcome to attend meetings of the Lodge, membership does not of itself confer an automatic right of attendance in all circumstances.

Who May Apply?

Membership is open to Master Masons in good standing who are members of Lodges or Masonic bodies recognised by, or working in amity with, the United Grand Lodge of England.

Subscription

United Kingdom: £20 per annum

Overseas: £30 per annum

Subscriptions support:

• Publication of the annual Transactions;
• Maintenance of the digital archive;
• Preservation of the Lodge’s research heritage.

Membership of the Correspondence Circle is open to Master Masons in good standing worldwide. Members receive the annual Transactions and support the continuing work of one of the world’s oldest Masonic research lodges.

Applications are considered in accordance with the rules of the Correspondence Circle and are subject to approval by the Lodge.

UK Subscription
£20 per annum (including UK postage)

Overseas Subscription
£30 per annum (including overseas postage)

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure payment system and are not stored by the Lodge of Research. The personal information provided as part of your application will be used solely for administering your Correspondence Circle membership and distributing Lodge communications and publications.

Correspondence Circle subscriptions are renewed annually on 1 November. Subscriptions do not renew automatically, and members will receive an email reminder when renewal becomes due.
