At our March meeting, on Monday 27th March 2023, the Lodge of Research will welcome Dr Ric Berman to mark the tercentenary of the publication in London of The Constitutions of the Freemasons – the ‘1723 Constitutions’ – whose Enlightenment principles provide the philosophical foundations of modern Freemasonry.

Anderson’s Constitutions, 1723

Many Masonic histories have been concerned with ‘when’ and ‘what’. The talk by Dr Ric Berman “Inventing the Future” will examine the context, the contents and the consequences of the 1723 Constitutions, and seeks to explain ‘why’.

All Masons are welcome to attend this meeting which will start at 6pm at Freemasons’ Hall, Leicester. For more information please contact us.
